We’ll then walk through the ranch to visit both our girls’ and boys’ herds. Along the way, you’ll learn about their individual personalities, herd dynamics, daily care, and the special qualities that make alpacas so fascinating. Guests will have opportunities to hand-feed the alpacas, take photos, and enjoy gentle interaction with the herd. Guided Ranch Experiences are offered several times each month throughout the year. This is a shared experience, so other guests may be part of your group. Depending on your group size and the evening’s bookings, your party may have its own table or share a table with other guests. You’re also welcome to bring a picnic blanket or folding chair if you prefer, but it is not necessary. Sunset picnics are offered on select evenings and are $25 per person; children younger than two attend free. Ever wondered what it’s really like to care for a herd of alpacas? Our half-day Alpaca Wrangler Camp for grown-ups offers a fun, hands-on look at daily life on the ranch. Along the way, guests will learn about alpaca care, feeding, health, breeding, and pasture and farm maintenance. You’ll also spend time caring for and connecting with our two alpaca herds and our Babydoll Southdown and Harlequin sheep. Activities may include seasonal ranch projects and a simple farm-inspired craft. This is an active, outdoor experience that involves walking between pastures and helping with real ranch tasks. Wrangler Camps are offered on select Saturdays during the spring and fall. Guests must be 18 or older, and space is limited.

Give your child four unforgettable days of learning, creating, exploring, and connecting with the animals at Lost Mountain Alpaca Ranch. Designed for children ages 7–12, our Alpaca Summer Camp offers a playful, hands-on introduction to life on the ranch. Campers will learn how to care for and feed our animals, lead an alpaca on a guided walk around the farm, and discover what goes into raising a happy, healthy herd. Each day also includes crafts, activities, games, and plenty of outdoor fun, with experiences such as scavenger hunts, felting projects, and other farm-inspired creations. Our four-day camps are held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the last week of May and the first week of June. It’s part education, part adventure, and a truly magical way to spend the beginning of summer surrounded by alpacas, sheep, and nature.

Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, corporate team outings, client appreciation events, reunions, showers, or simply enjoy a private experience with friends and loved ones. Your group will enjoy exclusive access to a peaceful, unforgettable alpaca experience designed to create lasting memories. Your gathering will be anchored from our large, covered patio that is attached to the Alpaca Barn. There you will find three large tables for seating, two tables for snacks and drinks, hanging lights, buffalo plaid lanterns and a Bluetooth speaker system for your music. All of our tables will be decorated in red & black checkered farm tablecloths for the party. For the first 60 minutes, you and your guests will be immersed in an Alpaca Experience out in our large pasture. We will teach you how to interact with alpacas, give you an overview of each of their quirky and fun personalities and then let you pet, hand feed and take pictures with the animals as you become part of their herd. For the final 60 minutes, we will head back to the patio and the main pasture as you and your guests will be able to play games (plastic axe throwing, giant Connect 4, Cornhole and more), listen to music and enjoy snacks and drinks while you look out upon 8 acres of lush farmland. You will be responsible for bringing food and beverages, plates, cups and utensils and we will provide the rest, including grain and treats for the alpacas. We ask that you limit decorations as our patio will already be set up for your event. Many party decorations are potentially dangerous and can be a choking hazard for our animals. To help maintain a relaxed experience for both our guests and our animals, private gatherings are limited to 30 total guests, including a maximum of 15 children. To help us prepare for other scheduled experiences, we kindly ask that your gathering be wrapped up and cleaned up by your contracted end time. The host may arrive 15 minutes before the start of the gathering to welcome guests as they arrive.
